A4 / A3 Certifier
Responsibilities

Conduct critical stage inspections on residential building sites in accordance with the Building Code of Australia and relevant standards.

If A3 accredited, issue construction certificates, occupation certificates, complying development certificates and modifications

Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections and approvals.

Liaise with clients, builders, contractors, council officers and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.

Keep up to date with changes in legislation, codes and standards affecting the certification industry.
Location
You will work from home but you will need to travel to various sites in the Newcastle/Hunter/Central Coast areas for inspections.
Hours
You will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday and we can also offer flexible work arrangements if required.
Salary
The salary for this position will be negotiated based on your experience, qualifications and accreditation level. We offer a competitive remuneration package that includes superannuation, annual leave, sick leave and professional development opportunities.
Requirements

You must have a current A4 accreditation as a certifier under the Building Professionals Act 2005. If you have an A3 accreditation, that would be an advantage.

You must have previous experience in undertaking critical stage inspections on residential building sites.

You should be familiar with the relevant legislation, codes and standards that apply to the certification industry.

You must have a valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle.

You must have excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.

You should be able to work independently and as part of a team.

You must have a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and integrity.

You should be able to identify and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
